I literally was in heaven.
The Mara Hoffman Fashion Show at the Stage in the Lincoln Center was my favorite show we saw while in New York and it left me excited for springtime and balmy days at the beach (even in my hardcore fall/winter mood at the moment.) The whole collection was based off of the word "Aloha" and the peaceful lifestyle yet vibrant culture of the Hawaiian islands so you can imagine there were gorgeous island-inspired prints with stunning color combinations, amazing flowy fabrics and applique detailing mirroring Hawaiian quilting techniques. There were also some playful pineapple and toucan influences that made me smile. One of my favorite features of the entire show was the headpieces made of real palm frond and flowers with amazing leaf wrap bracelets by Taylor Patterson. From the words of Mara Hoffman herself, in each collection including this one, her goal is to "always celebrate beauty" and she did that with flying colors, literally. Here are the highlights of the show from our lens:

Oh the sweet sounds of a ukulele- these three girlies started and ended the show.
My sister and I both decided this was our favorite dress from the collection- it truly took your breath away! (and yes, that is lil' kim there on the left, front row, with the white shirt and the tan skirt!)
Oh my heavens this model was truly knock your socks off gorgeous and all the vibrant colors looked phenomenal on her. I loved the colorful bustiers paired with light, flowy skirts- reminds me of my friend Suzanne!
Hard to see but lovely little cut outs on the sides of the bodice make this wonderful dress a touch more flirty.
The most amazing dress- it had so much movement and life.
Mara came out at the end and grabbed a cute little tot- I'm assuming hers... she is gorgeous by the way.
